Kinabalu Park is located in the Malaysian state of Sabah in the northern part of Borneo. It is easily accessible by 2-hour drive from the state capital Kota Kinabalu.

Kinabalu Park was established as Malaysia’s first National Park in 1964 and it is also Malaysia’s first World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000 for its “outstanding universal value” and the role as one of the most important biological sites in the world with more than 4500 species of flora and fauna, including 326 bird and around 100 mammal species and over 110 land snail species. It covers an area of 754 sq. km surrounding Mount Kinabalu which at 4095.2 meters is the highest mountain on the island of Borneo and South East Asia.

Kinabalu Park HQ at 1524 meters has superb chalet accommodations and restaurants with mountain views and nature trails. Explore one of the many trails that lead through tropical Montane Oak and Chestnut Forest. Kinabalu Park is a botanist’s paradise with over a thousand species of orchids, numerous different rhododendrons and pitcher plants. 0830 hours, depart your hotel in Kota Kinabalu for 2.5 hours drive to Kinabalu Park. Enroute visit Nabalu Market, Desa Cattle Farm and Kundasang town. Upon arrival, visit the Park Headquarter, enjoy the majestic view of Mount Kinabalu, visit Mountain Garden for the collection of plant life of Kinabalu. Explore the nature trail to see the fauna & flora of Kinabalu. Return to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu by 1700.

Kinabalu Park / Poring Hot Spring
0700 hours, depart your hotel in Kota Kinabalu for 3 hours drive to Poring Hot Spring. Enroute visit Nabalu Market, Desa Cattle Farm and Kundasang town. Upon arrival at Poring Hot Spring, visit canopy walkway to see rainforest 100 feet above the ground, and visit Butterfly Farm. Proceed to Kinabalu Park, visit the Park Headquarter, enjoy the majestic view of Mount Kinabalu, visit Mountain Garden for the collection of plant life of Kinabalu. Explore a nature trail to see the fauna & flora of Kinabalu. Return to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu by 1700.
