Overview

Manukan Island is located in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park in the East Malaysian state of Sabah, just off the coast of Kota Kinabalu and is easily accessible by boat. It is the second largest island out of five islands in the Marine Park and the most developed tourist facilities that include chalet accommodation, restaurant and bar, swimming pool, jetty, diving and other recreation facilities.

Manukan Island has some good stretches of beaches on the southern coastline and eastern tip of the island; ideal for relaxation. Offshore of Manukan are coral reef and marine life that are very popular for swimming, snorkeling, diving and other seasports.

What to Expect

Itinerary : 4 days / 3 nights  (Package B3)                             

Day 1     Home - Kota Kinabalu 
               Arrive at Kota Kinabalu airport, transfer to hotel at city centre.
               Free at leisure. Overnight Grandis hotel.

Day 2     Kota Kinabalu – Manukan Island TARP
    After breakfast, transfer to jetty for 20 minutes boat ride to Manukan Island.
    Free at leisure. We recommend to do the following: -
    Rent a snorkel set (RM10) and snorkel from the shore to see colouful corals, fishes
    and other sea creature. This is the most popular thing to do on this island.
    Overnight Manukan Island Resort. (Breakfast included).

Day 3     Manukan Island TARP
               After breakfast, free at leisure. We recommend either to continue
              snorkeling from the shore or participate the following seasport:-
               a) Parasailing                     RM106 per person
               b) Jet Ski                            RM175 per jet ski (30 minutes)
               c) Banana Boat Ride          RM45 per person. Minimum 4
               d) Fly Fish Ride                  RM75 per person. Minimum 2
               e) Kayaking                        RM35 per person
               f) Sea Walking                    RM250 per person
                  (Walk under the sea without carrying Oxygen tanks due to Sea Trek
                   Underwater Helmet Diving System)
               g) Snorkel from a boat at designated sites at TARP. Pre booking required.
                   Fee RM180 per person. Minimum 2 persons.
              h) Nature Walk on the island to see nature.
               i) Watch sunset, the best in this region.

Restaurant on Manukan Island – both the Arang and Prahu Restaurants serve delicious
local delicacies, Asian and Western Cuisines throughout the day and night. Local hawkers 
stalls are also available to cater day trippers to the island. Overnight Manukan Island Resort
(Breakfast included)

Day 4     Kota Kinabalu - home
               After breakfast, free at leisure till transfer to Kota Kinabalu airport.
              (Breakfast included)                                    

Include – Accommodation, transfer, entrance fee and meal as stated.
Exclude – Airfare, meals not stated, expenses of personal nature.
