Overview

Kinabalu Park is located in the Malaysian state of Sabah in the northern part of Borneo. It is easily accessible by 2 hour drive from the state capital Kota Kinabalu.

Kinabalu Park was established as Malaysia’s first National Park in 1964 and it is also Malaysia’s first World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000 for its “outstanding universal value” and the role as one of the most important biological sites in the world with more than 4500 species of flora and fauna, including 326 bird and around 100 mammal species and over 110 land snail species. It covers an area of 754 sq km surrounding Mount Kinabalu which at 4095.2 meters is the highest mountain on the island of Borneo and South East Asia.

Kinabalu Park HQ at 1524 meters has superb chalet accommodations and restaurants with mountain views and nature trails. Explore one of the many trails that lead through tropical Montane Oak and Chestnut Forest. Kinabalu Park is a botanist’s paradise with over a thousand species of orchids, numerous different rhododendrons and pitcher plants. The birds life is equally fascinating with most species being montane, including a number of endemic.

Itinerary:- 5 days 4 nights (Package A5) - Explore Sabah's Nature

Day 1     Home - Kota Kinabalu - Kinabalu Park
    Arrive Kota Kinabalu airport, transfer 2 hours to Kinabalu Park, enroute visit Nabalu Market.
    Upon arrival, visit Park HQ, Mountain Garden for the collection of plant life of Kinabalu. Free
    at leisure. Overnight Kinabalu Park HQ Chalets.

Day 2     Kinabalu Park - Poring Hot Spring
    After breakfast, free at leisure. Enjoy the view of majestic Mount Kinabalu. Proceed to Poring
    Hot Spring, enroute visit Desa Cattle Farm and Kundasang town. Upon arrival, free at leisure.
    Ideal  to visit  Butterfly Farm, Canopy  Walkway, Kipungit Waterfall, Bat Cave, Orchid
   Conservation Centre and Sulphur hot water pool.

              Overnight Poring Chalet at Poring Hot Spring. (breakfast included) 

Day 3    Poring Hot Spring - Kota Kinabalu
   After breakfast, transfer to Kota Kinabalu town centre. Free at leisure. Ideal to discover the city’s
   centre Gaya Street and Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens. Overnight Grandis Hotel, a 4-star hotel at 
   city centre. (breakfast included)

Day 4:   Kota Kinabalu - Proboscis Monkey Wetland Tour
   After breakfast, free at leisure. Enjoy the facilities at the hotel. 1400 hours, depart your hotel in
   Kota Kinabalu for the village of Klias near the town of Beaufort. Upon arrival, boat trip to cruise
   the river in the mangrove forest for proboscis monkeys and other wildlife in the wilderness.
   After dinner, return to the river to observe fireflies lit up like Christmas tree along the river bank.
  Return to Kota Kinabalu and overnight Grandis Hotel, a 4-star hotel at city centre.

Day 5:   Kota Kinabalu - Home
   After breakfast. Free at leisure till transfer to airport for flight home. (breakfast included)
